World Data Ventures, LLC (WDV)
is a holding company with investments in Micro Financial networks, back office development and technology enablers.
WDV's Partners come from World Data Inc., a company with close to 30 years of experience in engineering networks
and developing their associated operational support systems. WDI is recognized as one of the pioneers of the Internet,
engineering and implementing some of the first Internet Networks in the Americas. World Data grew to build global networks
and their associated logistics for international carriers.

In 2000, with the telecommunications industry beginning to experience major challenges, WDV was formed to perform corporate re-structuring
and M & A activities to adapt telecom companies to the new technological and market reality. Our first acquisition, Comsat International,
had a formidable network that covered the Americas either via fiber or satellite. This network offered data, voice and vertical solutions to multinationals across the Americas.
A number of additional acquisitions followed: VICOM in Brazil, Convergence Mexico, and GBnet in Central America. Comsat has been since sold to British Telecom.
Today our investments and investment strategy is focused exclusively in expanding our Microfinance Ecosystem by implementing a network of Microfinance Service Bureaus (MSBs) worldwide.
MSBs act as the Ecosystem distribution centers that provide financial organizations, such as Microfinancial Institutions (MFI's) with:
- A software platform to optimize the management of their clients,
services and operational processes (M.net)
and
- A transaction network to facilitate the delivery of services to their MFI customers via mobile phones. (TX.net).
